Developing Staff

TMPF Trust are proud of their team and look for opportunities to support their development further to enhance the learning of the pupils we serve. As we are all learners, thriving staff both possess and inspire thriving minds.

TMPF Trust are committed to developing all members of the team and offer a programme of CPD, networks and support to enable colleagues to flourish.

Leaders, managers and experienced professionals

A number of our colleagues have completed (or are currently learning through) National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) and are supported with ongoing training to enhance the leadership of the educational provision for our pupils.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

ECTs are supported through a comprehensive training package within TMPF Trust and through our Appropriate Body and online training providers. The topics covered in 2025/26 TMPF Trust ECT Network programme include: Behaviour and Culture, SEND, the pedagogy of sequences of lessons, curriculum leadership, RE and Collective Worship, and Reading.

Initial Teacher Training (ITT)

Teachers new to the profession bring a great deal to schools, to pupils and to our Trust as a whole. TMPF Trust are proud to work with a number of ITT providers and in addition to working alongside SSTEC (Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Teacher Education Collective) have representation of the Strategic Board of the Keele and North Staffordshire Teacher Education (KNSTE) organisation: https://shaw-education.org.uk/institute-of-education/knste

Middle leaders

From summer 2026, a network of Trust Middle Leaders will be established to support and challenge colleagues as they progress as leaders of learning, of subjects and as future leaders of schools.

Support staff

All non-teaching staff have access to an extensive programme of CPD accessible throughout the academic year which focuses on specifics areas of their role, and to enable their growth, skill-enhancement and other areas of professional interest too.
