R.E. and Collective Worship

“I can do all things through Christ because He gives me strength”

(Philippians 4:13 ICB)

Our vision is to provide a safe and caring Christian community rooted in Christ’s love. We believe that happy children achieve, succeed and overcome life’s challenges. We value everyone as a child of God and believe that each one of us has the ability to achieve our highest potential by living and learning in the fullness of God.

At Bishop Rawle C E Primary School we believe that a happy child is an achieving child. We aim to ensure that all pupils strive to achieve and pursue their dreams within a caring, supportive and positive environment. Our vision teaches us as staff, pupils, guardians and community members that through God we can achieve all things. As Christians we believe in life in its fullness, that we are valued and important to God, as he is to us. That through this outlook on life we can follow God to strive to be the best that we can be. This is further demonstrated in our school motto: Going for Gold with God.

Collective Worship and Religious Education are fundamental parts of not just our curriculum, but also our ethos and 'way of life' within Bishop Rawle C.E Primary School. In school, we follow the 'Understanding Christianity' curriculum and provide children with the opportunity to learn about Christianity and also other religions to help them to build a deeper understanding of British society and be part of a global community.

Children come together for Collective Worship and we are blessed to welcome members of our local Church, Parish and community to lead us and share these special experiences with us.

We love working with our wonderful Church (St. Giles the Abbot C.E.), and although we are currently in a short period without a local Vicar (interregnum), we are excited to welcome Rev. Gary into our school family when he commences his important new position at the heart of our Parish.
