How do bookmarks work?

When you bookmark a document, a small text file known as a cookie is placed on your device acting as a memory for your browser. The cookie records which documents you save, it does not store any personal information about you as a user, or identify you as an individual. My bookmarks are specific to the device you use, so if you access this website on multiple devices, your bookmarks will not be accessible on all devices.

You can read more about how cookies are used on this website here.

Why have my bookmarks disappeared?

There are a number of reasons why your bookmarks may have disappeared.

  • We have deleted the document that you have bookmarked as it has been updated or is no longer applicable.

  • You have deleted all your cookies. Cookies on your device help store information about the documents that you bookmark.
