Ilam C.E. Primary School

Welcome to Ilam C.E. Primary School

As Headteacher of Ilam C.E. Primary School, I am proud and privileged to welcome you to our school. We are a small, caring and happy church school in the beautiful village of Ilam. I am delighted to be Headteacher here with our amazing children who love coming to school and enjoy their learning from Nursery through to the end of Year six.

We are lucky enough to have a wonderful team of hardworking, passionate and thoughtful teachers and learning support assistants who strive to ensure that teaching and learning is of a high quality, varied, challenging and most importantly, fun! We actively use our stunning outdoor surroundings to engage our pupils in all lessons including our weekly Forest School lessons.

At Ilam C.E. Primary School, we believe that primary education is more than just academic achievement. We aim to develop a love of learning for all our children and build firm foundations to enable them to be successful and happy.

If you would like to visit our beautiful school, please do contact the school office and I look forward showing you around and answering any questions that you may have.

Goldilocks

by Stephen Tucker

This book is a fun, colourful and exciting retelling of a classic story, with a fantastic modern twist. In Stephen Tucker’s Goldilocks, our favourite character doesn’t just explore the Three Bears’ house - she is also confident, creative and loves to be unique, which helps to help remind children that it’s wonderful to be yourself.

Goldilocks’ bright, bold style matches the lively rhyming text and the cheerful illustrations by Nick Sharratt.

I think children will love this fun and vibrant version of Goldilocks, especially her unique sense of style. I hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy it!
