Miss N. Ainsworth School Leader

Welcome to St. Werburgh's C.E. Primary School

Welcome to our school website. It is a privilege to serve you and your child(ren) as Executive Principal, and I am incredibly proud to lead such a special community. I have been part of the leadership team at St. Werburgh’s C E Primary School since 2007, and during this time I have seen first-hand just how deeply rooted our school is in the life of our village.

For generations, St. Werburgh’s has nurtured, educated, and supported local children, and we remain firmly at the heart of our community today. Our Christian foundation is central to who we are. We greatly value our close relationship with the church, and our children enjoy visiting regularly as part of their spiritual and personal development. We are blessed with a dedicated, caring, and highly skilled staff team who work tirelessly to ensure every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their very best.

While we strive for excellent academic standards, we are equally passionate about providing rich, varied experiences—giving children the chance to sing, dance, learn instruments, and take part in an exciting range of sports and creative opportunities. Most of all, our school is defined by its wonderful children. Visitors frequently comment on the warmth of their welcome, their kindness, their enthusiasm, and the joy they bring to our school every day. They are truly our greatest strength. I hope this website gives you a glimpse of what makes St. Werburgh’s such a special place.
