Admissions to St. Werburgh's C.E. Primary School
Joining any school is an important decision taken by parents/ carers. Within TMPF Trust, we are proud to have a number of schools which offer different strengths which may appeal to children’s individual needs. The relationship between TMPF Trust schools is a positive one which recognises the importance of serving the different needs of different children.
All schools have a planned Pupil Admission Number (PAN). This states the number of pupils which schools may admit in September to the new Reception class. Should the school be over-subscribed, then parents/ carers have the right to appeal. Our school PAN is: 28.
To apply to join our school in Reception class in September, please visit: https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/Education/Admissions-primary/Apply/Overview.aspx
The criteria for admissions can be seen in our admissions policy which is accessible on our policies page.
To transfer to our school after the start of the school year, or in a year group other than Reception, please contact the school office. If you are wishing to transfer from another school, then we always request that you speak with your child’s current Headteacher.
TMPF Trust will always communicate with the child’s existing school.
If you wish to defer your child’s entry to Reception class, please contact the school to discuss further. Deferrals have to be agreed by school and the Trust.
Our admissions into Reception class are managed by Staffordshire Local Authority. If you wish to appeal regarding a decision to not offer a place in Reception class, please visit: https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/school-admissions
Details on school admissions and appeals can be found in the school Admissions Policy (link to policy).
