Our Faith & Religious Character

St. Werburgh's C.E. Primary School is a very proud Anglican school which cherishes its links to the Parish, the Mid-Churnet Valley benefice, TMPF Trust’s RE and Collective Worship network, the Trust’s sister schools, and the Diocese of Lichfield. The vison of the school is: Love to learn, love God, love one another, and our theologically-rooted vision is inspired by:

Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.

1 John 4:8

At St. Werburgh's C.E. Primary School, we aim to provide a safe and caring Christian community rooted in Christ’s love. We believe that happy children achieve, succeed and overcome life’s challenges. We value everyone as a child of God and believe that each one of us has the ability to achieve our highest potential by living and learning in the fullness of God.

SIAMS

The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) is the Church of England and Methodist Church’s outworking of the requirements of section 48 of the Education Act 2005. It is a key element of the life of all Church of England and Methodist schools in England. SIAMS explores ways in which each school’s theologically-rooted Christian vision drives its work and enables the school to live up to its foundation as a Church school.

'The school's value of love can be seen in strong, respectful relationships during both learning and social times. Support for pupil and staff wellbeing has a high priority which enables pupils and adults to fully engage in all aspects of school life.'
