Welcome to Talbot First School

Welcome to Talbot First School. We are a small, rural school with a strong sense of community and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our pupils are enthusiastic, kind and eager to learn, and we are proud of the wonderful attitudes they bring each day.

Our talented and dedicated staff work hard to ensure every child feels valued and supported, providing an excellent start to their learning journey. Together with our families and wider community, we create a nurturing environment where children can grow, thrive and achieve their best.

This book is a fun, colourful and exciting retelling of a classic story, with a fantastic modern twist. In Stephen Tucker’s Goldilocks, our favourite character doesn’t just explore the Three Bears’ house - she is also confident, creative and loves to be unique, which helps to help remind children that it’s wonderful to be yourself.

Goldilocks’ bright, bold style matches the lively rhyming text and the cheerful illustrations by Nick Sharratt.

I think children will love this fun and vibrant version of Goldilocks, especially her unique sense of style. I hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy it!
