Our Faith & Religious Character

Ilam C.E. Primary School is a very proud Anglican school which cherishes its links to the Parish of Ilam, TMPF Trust’s RE and Collective Worship network, the Trust’s sister schools, and the Diocese of Lichfield. The vision of the school is: Learning, achieving and thriving as a school family through God's love, and our theologically-rooted vision is inspired by:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29 v11

Ilam C.E. Primary School is a close-knit, loving family with a heart to see all children in our care flourish. Within a warm, nurturing environment, our children become caring, courageous, respectful individuals. Through our Christian values, our children aspire for the very best for themselves and our Parish and community.

SIAMS

The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) is the Church of England and Methodist Church’s outworking of the requirements of section 48 of the Education Act 2005. It is a key element of the life of all Church of England and Methodist schools in England. SIAMS explores ways in which each school’s theologically-rooted Christian vision drives its work and enables the school to live up to its foundation as a Church school.

Positive relationships and partnerships rooted in love and care permeate this school. This caring culture results in pupils and adults being nurtured.

Holy Cross Church

Nestled within the grounds of Ilam Hall, and flanked by amazing countryside views, Holy Cross Church is known for being one of the few Anglo-Saxon churches in the country where a saint is buried: St Bertram, a local hermit and king whose story has drawn pilgrims and visitors for generations.
Rev Patrick Griffin is the Vicar of our Church and we enjoy welcoming him into school to lead us in worship and support us on our journey of faith.
