Values, Vision & Ethos
Let us shine as lights.
I am a beacon.
I have many talents.
I can learn to shine my light.
I can see other’s lights.
I can lead the way and because of this I am fulfilled.
At St Leonard's C.E. First School we aim to ensure that all pupils are supported to achieve and pursue their dreams within a caring, supportive and positive environment. Our vision teaches us as pupils, staff, parents, carers and Parishioners, we should all celebrate and value what we all bring to God's world.
St. Leonard's C.E. First School values
We are proud of our school values here at St. Leonard's C.E. First School, which are based upon the teachings of Christ:
'In all the work you are doing, work with all your heart and soul, as for the Lord and not for all people.'
Colossians 3:23
'So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the Prophets.'
Matthew 7:12
'It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.'
Proverbs 9 (2-3)
'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.'
Deuteronomy 6:5
TMPF Trust values
TMPF Trust have a series of values which are shared across the family of schools and are inspired by the teaching of Christ:
Trust lies at the heart of all relationships. By trusting in God we ourselves become trustworthy just as He is.
Psalm 20:7
'Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.'
Being mindful of others leads to a heart of compassion; compassion leads to a desire to act for the good of all.
Peter 3:8
'Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers and sisters, be compassionate and humble.'
Peace and harmony lead to a stable and secure community where all are nurtured and can flourish.
Matthew 5:19
'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.'
Barriers are broken down in a loving, friendly community based around God.
Ecclesiastes 4:10
‘If one falls down, a friend can lift him up.'
